Frequently Asked Questions

Q: Why don't you accept insurance?
Insurance companies do not know you nor do they necessarily have your best interests in mind. Oftentimes, they deny payment for care or require that you try and fail other treatments that are not warranted based on your individual needs. As your provider, I work directly with you, and together we develop a treatment plan tailored to your concerns and goals for treatment. Without the interference of a third party, I am able to utilize my time focusing on treating my clients without worrying about making sure I document in just the right way to avoid denial of a claim. I do not have to waste my client’s time and money on treatments the insurance wants you to try that are not necessarily conducive to your healing.

I am able to give my clients the choice of whether or not they would like to have a documented mental health diagnosis or feel they are having a temporary struggle and do not need a diagnosis that will follow them for the rest of their life. The biggest benefit is the freedom I have to give my clients the time and attention they need in order to heal. My goal has always been to heal disease, not manage it. I want my clients to get better so they can return to living their best lives.
